DIY Colored Easter Eggs 🐣

This is a more natural way to dye your Easter eggs this year and a fun way to use fruits, veggies and herbs with the family!

Beets-pink colored eggs

Kale & Greens Powder-green colored eggs

Turmeric- yellow-colored eggs

Blueberries-purple colored eggs

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup of hot water ( for each color cup)

  • 1 tbs vinegar

  • 1-2 tbs beet powder ( or two beets blended)

  • 2 cup of kale (blended with a few tbs of water) or 1 packet of greens powder

  • 1 tbs turmeric powder

  • 1/2 cup of blueberries (blended)

  • 1 carton of hard-boiled eggs

Instructions:

  1. You will want to use glasses that the eggs can fit into easily and are easy to get them out of. I used 8 oz mason jars.

  2. You’ll want to place the “food coloring” food items in the bottom of the jars. There may be some fiber from the vegetables and fruits but they will just rise to the top and they help add color to the eggs!

  3. Pour in the hot water and vinegar into each jar.

  4. Place an egg in each jar. Let it sit for at least 5 minutes. The longer you let it sit the darker the color!
